Fix Our Flicker

Sometimes when a lightbulb is losing power or the connection becomes corroded, the light begins to flicker off and on. It won’t Shine steady until the connection is cleaned, secured and power steadily flows through it.
We are like this sometimes, or at least I have been. There was a time I allowed my “connection” to the Holy Spirit to become weakened by the world’s influence, causing His Light in me, to Flicker rather than Shine steady and bright. Corrosion comes on slow, like when battery acid builds up after you don’t use a device for a while and the connection is damaged when you finally go to use it.
My connection to Jesus was not consistent enough to keep a steady stream of His Power in my life and I was just Flickering and stumbling around in circles. I had allowed the world to come between my relationship with Him, as I got stuck on the Roundabout of Pain Management.
I was either Dimming His Light, Flickering it inconsistently or only briefly Shining Bright.
“God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”
1 John 1:5

My connection to God, the Source, couldn’t be secured until I was Willing to see what all His Light would reveal in me. I think I was afraid to look and turned to the world instead of dealing with the pain of Seeing it all. I had to Surrender to whatever the Lord wanted to remove in me and look at it, so I could leave it all behind.
Thank God that self-examination reveals just how lost we are without the connection to Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit.
We have to “let go” so God can clean off the corrosion and secure us tightly to Him so we can Be His Light, in this dark world.
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
There will come a day when all, who are saved, are gathered together to be with Jesus in the air. There will be a ‘falling away’ first and as the darkness spreads, the Lights of Love will Shine Brighter, if we come together in Spirit and Truth.
We must come together to Shine Brightly for Jesus!
When we come together, in Truth, whether our lights are Dimmed, Flickering or Shining Bright, there is increased power from God, the Source! We all become Brighter together, and the darkness has to flee. There is strength in numbers, however, we must each be individually connected to the Holy Spirit.
Jesus poured His Spirit out amongst us when He Sacrificed Himself on the Cross, and through His Holy Spirit, He will be gathering us all together, unto Himself, for a final battle. Together we will all Shine Brightly, Blind the enemy with His radiant light, and Bind the enemy with the Truth.
Until we are all gathered together to Shine, Blind and Bind the evil on this earth, we must seek to maintain a secure connection to the Power Source by faithfully reading God's Word.
We Shine Brighter together!
We Blind the enemy with our collective Light!
We Bind the enemy with the Power of the Holy Spirit!
Our corporate Shine, which is capable of Blinding and Binding the enemy, can only come after we individually allow Jesus to fix our flicker by fully surrendering to Him and making our own connection to Him a steady flow of Power from the Holy Spirit.
