You may have heard people say that we are in the midst of a storm. The president even stated that we were in the Calm Before the Storm when he first took office. We are no longer in the calm waters at the center of an eyewall, we are in the back edge where the wind and waves are the most treacherous. There is mutiny within some of our fleet and pirates are all around.

The dark storm clouds were roiling all around us but we couldn’t see that far out because we were in the center of the eye and this storm is huge.
The storm is upon us!
We can’t go back into the center where it seems calm because the eye is narrowing as the storm intensifies. We must go Through the back edge of the eyewall where the storm is most fierce in order to reach the shore.
"Suddenly a furious storm came upon the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him, saying “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown! But He said to them, “why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” then He arose and Rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So, the men marveled, saying, “who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Matthew 8:24-27
WWJD – What Would Jesus Do? is a popular saying because we are supposed to emulate Jesus in our own lives. What did He do during the storm? What do we do now?
We need to remember WWJD and REBUKE the storm we are in, in Jesus’ name. We must Believe and have Faith in the One who controls the wind and seas; the One who created them!

We have the same Spirit within us that is Christ Jesus! We may be tossed to and fro until we finally lose our footing and fall on our knees, but we will all get there eventually. We may even be soaking wet!
Knocked down and on our knees, we have more Power within us than the storm has over us. No matter what happens around us or how choppy the seas get we have Calm Within the Storm… when Hope in Jesus is our Rudder because He keeps our ship on course even in the midst of the most dangerous storms.

Jesus is our Anchor and He steadies us, and HOPE, our Rudder, keeps us going in the right direction. We need to keep our eyes fixed on the Heading that God has given us.
My Heading is Heaven. My Navigator is the Holy Spirit who guides me. What is your heading? Do you know The Navigator of your present storm?
I have felt fearful, disillusioned and overwhelmed at times just like most everyone since these storm clouds became visible. I’m so thankful that my own HOPE, which had been damaged, was restored and made stronger before I could see them! I was just getting used to the ‘feel’ of the tension in my newly Restored Rudder when I began to sense the pressure changes. I am still learning the ‘light’ touch required to maneuver in the storm but with each tug from the waves, I am encouraged by how my vessel stays steady and keeps it’s Heading, by the Grace of God.
There are so many squalls in life that can blow up out of nowhere when we least expect it. Be thankful if they cause you to clean up your vessel, fully stock it with Godly provisions, and to keep your Rudder Ready for a steady Heading with Faith in your Anchor secure. In the name of Jesus, I pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us and give us Wisdom so we can all keep our Vessels on course.

This may be a Mega Storm we are in but only because we’re all going through it at the same time, together. A collection of different tidepools, vortexes, and whirlpools have some individuals stuck in their own storms within the Storm. We can get trapped if we have no Anchor, don’t know how it works, or our Rudder has not yet been Restored.
The One who created the wind, and the water can Rebuke them and give us the Calm Within the Storm. He can cause the roiling seas to deliver us to shore. We Can Rebuke the Storm in Christ Jesus.

If you didn’t get your Rudder Restored during the Calm Before the Storm, don’t wait any longer! The back edge is upon us.
Steady as she goes…
With the Holy Spirit navigating our direction, Hope directing our course, Jesus as our Anchor, and Faith as our lifeboat we can ride high atop the waves of change and reach our Heading along with The Navigator.
Let’s all rebuke the storms of life and pray for our Father in Heaven to guide us safely through them. In His Perfect Peace we have Calm Within the Storm…
